Default Bemani Conversion Mega Pack 6 released!!

LINKS (you'll need both parts - a total of nearly 400 MB):
part 1: http://www.mediafire.com/?n2whbiqk40d6py0
part 2: http://www.mediafire.com/?oaw43ahnbewi7xb

Hey everyone!

BCMP 6 is the first pack I've ever released, and it continues the BCMP series that Malice and Exige has originally created. This pack is entirely comprised of solo files that have been directly converted from their respective charts in the Beatmania IIDX and Pop'n Music games.

I started this pack in early 2010 when my interest in solo grew (shortly after FFR went offline). After 2 years, this pack has finally seen the light of the day!

One of the main complaints I've been hearing on solo files is that most of them are too difficult for beginner to intermediate players. Up until recently, most of the solo players have been seasoned veterans. While Beatmania IIDX and Pop'n Music both typically include multiple difficulties per song, past BCMP packs typically featured only the hardest difficulties for conversion. Most of the songs in this pack will have MULTIPLE difficulties that have all been converted from these Bemani games.

And finally, here's the songlist:

Spoiler: show
note:
The difficulty of a song will be listed as [beginner/light/standard/heavy/oni/edit]. "-" indicates no existing chart for that difficulty. There's only one oni chart, and only a few edit charts, however. The main focus are on the other four difficulties.

This is great for solo. I absolutely HATE bemani conversions but there are a few files I might be able to play :P

Even for some of the hardest songs, there are multiple difficulties. I was hoping that if one chart for a song wasn't to your liking, another difficulty might be.

Thanks for your support everyone!

it's the fact that most people often too strictly follow the iidx map and creates incredibly awkward patterns (see exige's horizon) and totally ruins the fun for me. though gundam-dude did a really good job at his converts pattern wise

To be honest, a lot of those accurately-represented charts also accurately depict the iidx chart's own awkwardness. Strictly speaking, you're not getting the full deal if it doesn't mirror the iidx chart's own tension. That statement aside, I've tried to reduce unnecessarily difficult patterns if there are alternatives, and often there are. I've also reduced jacks that are simply due to overlayering (these jacks wouldn't even be present in the iidx charts - they exist because of the 6-key compression).

Dances with Snow Fairies on heavy is quite a good example of where I had to trim the last quarter of the file due to extremely heavy patterns.

Also, since this pack garnered enough interest on FFR, I might make BCMP 7...possibly a minipack as opposed to a megapack. 20 files maybe? tentative

Can someone tell my typical words people use if you're meant to play a pack on the keyboard compared to the pad? Which one is this?

They're simply known as "keyboard files/charts". And this would be definitely using your fingers haha...solo is a mode where you play with six arrows, and the stuff here are not really suitable for pad playing at all. This is keyboard stuff.
